We were inspired by the Global Game Jam 2026's theme of "Mask" to create a game inspired by the short story by Edgar Allan Poe, "The Masque of the Red Death".
The player, a plague doctor, is tasked with finding and killing the bringer of the "red death" plague in a bustling ballroom. They are given clues about what the villain's mask will look like, and must find them in the crowd. Every time the clock strikes, new victims who are infected with the plague fall and perish. Save as many as you can!
